We seek an outstanding candidate to work in our quantum customer success team, which is part of our quantum engineering solutions division at Keysight Technologies in the regular/permanent role of R&D Engineer, Advanced. The candidate is to own success to our strategic quantum computing customers and partners worldwide. For this, the candidate should have a strong scientific background in quantum benchmarking and quantum error detection and mitigation of quantum computing architectures. In addition, the candidate should have an excellent understanding of state-of-the-art quantum control system systems based on direct digital conversion and how these control systems can be applied to cutting-edge quantum applications. The candidate should be in close proximity to our R&D location in Kitchener, Ontario.   Job duties   - Engage with key and strategic customers to demonstrate leading proof of principle quantum experiments and applications using QCS - work with QCS R&D team to define the technical specifications of QCS, to continually enable more state-of-the-art quantum use cases - You will collaborate with our marketing team to create technical content such as code examples and quantum technology specific user guides - For key accounts, you will represent QES with our business development team as the quantum control solution expert and you will be responsible for customer success on our worldwide quantum computing customer base - Collect and document user's requirements and develop logical and physical specifications - Confer with clients to identify and document requirements - Conduct business and technical studies - Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test computer-based systems - Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs - Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration and operation of computer-based systems - Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems - Conduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability and suitability of data - Execute and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests - Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs - Act as technical consultant in a particular field of expertise - Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions - Write specifications and technical reports - Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support

Chosen candidate under moderate supervision, will: - Work on service assignments with clearly defined objectives. - Perform manual and automated calibration, adjustments, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Keysight and other OEM Test & Measurement electronic test equipment at our Keysight service center and / or on-site directly at our customer's sites. ( ex: Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, DMM, RF Signal generator, EMI receiver, Antennas, light wave/optical instruments, etc ) - Assist in maintaining the laboratory's accreditation through participation in proficiency testing, quality measure assurance programs, and applicable training. Assist in maintaining our pool of production computers ( Operating system & HW/Software installation )  - Establish and maintain close communication with customers both in French and English to ensure we capture and meet customer expectation - Require ability and desire to learn system/application software  - Require to be flexible to work overtime - Require to be flexible to occasionally work week-ends and/or different shift - Require to be flexible to travel approx... 30% to 50% of the time   Role is based in/around Ottawa. FPGA RTL Design Engineer  As part of Keysight the Network Applications and Security group (NAS) provides testing, visibility, and security solutions, strengthening applications across physical and virtual networks for enterprises and governments, service providers and network equipment manufacturers (NEMs).   You will join a highly talented and motivated team of hardware and software engineers creating a state-of-the-art wireline Ethernet test systems. Based on the very latest generation of FPGAs and multi-core CPUs test instruments must stay ahead of mainstream offerings to test equipment and networks before deployment.  Driven by the ever increasing bandwidth demands from hyperscale data centers and carrier networks test equipment must constantly support the highest speeds well before they are commercially available.  You have the opportunity to contribute to new and emerging technologies as well as advancing the functionality of existing technologies while working with line speeds up to 800Gb and beyond.     NAS is looking for an experienced FPGA designer to work on the wireline Ethernet test products.  We work on cutting-edge technologies and standards with FPGA logic running at 600+ MHz and line speeds of 800G+.     Responsibilities - Understanding business and technical needs in order to design, develop, and implement new features and platforms - Creating and developing innovative new products and features - Technical leadership of FPGA designs - Providing guidance to junior engineers - Pro-active participation in project kick-off, reviews, status reports, and bringing issues forward with proposed solutions - Driving continuous process and code base improvements
